After the Shock

Having chosen a book, you enter a realm. You're taking deep inhales and the air doesn't feel the same. The air has a sweetish smell. You feel like a new person, barely remembering anything at all. As you regain your consciousness fully, you find yourself in the middle of a town. You experience a faint sense of déjà vu. While looking around, brief fragments of past memories randomly appear in your head. You start feeling uneasy and you want this scary day to be over. Your life in your new realm goes on. Days here repeat themselves, it feels like Groundhog Day. You go to an old cafe with your friend, meeting new people, at some point fully immersing in this reality. Even you have forgotten everything before, your past memories still appear time to time.
